DESCRIPTION:Hieronymi Frascastorii (Hieronymus Fracasrorius en latin) mourut le 8 août 1553. Il naquit en 1478\, mais nous n’avons pas la date. Il fut médecin\, auteur du livre Syphilis\, Sive Morbus Gallicus (Syphlis ou la Maladie Française) publié à Vérone en 1530. On retrouve dans cette œuvre\, pour la première fois\, l’usage du mot « syphilis ».
